Footstools HandCrafted in the 18th Century Manner
All of these Footstools are adaptations of original pieces. They are made from traditional woods, (Maple turnings and white pine seat) with milk paint finishes or from woods such as curly maple, cherry or walnut. The stools can either have a hollowed wooden seat or an upholstered leather seat available in a variety of colors. The three seat shapes that I offer are rectangular, oval or round and can be made with a variety of turning styles.

Upholstered Windsor Footstools
Rectangular
This footstool has curly maple leg and stretcher turnings, stained and finished with an “antique maple” look. The pine seat is upholstered in black leather with brass tacks. The legs and center stretcher are of the baluster style.

Bird Cage Windsor Footstools
This stool was built to accompany the Bird cage windsor chair. It has box stretchers with bamboo leg turnings. It is made out of Pine and maple and stained a dark brown stain.

Slanted Footstool
A simple nailed together stool made from poplar wood with a mustard milk painted wash. The inclined front is much more comfortable on you ankles than the flat top.
